After a decade of stupendous successes, Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor organised the 10th edition of the CAPGEMINI Bengaluru Midnight Marathon 2016, on December 10, 2016.
In this edition Mary Kom, Brand Ambassador was the absolute star. After unveiling the theme – Run for Happy Schools, she arrived on Race Day, flagged off the Women’s 10k Run and the Marathon and then ran the 10k Race herself. To her credit, she came in 6th overall. Over 125,000 Chinese ran the BMM in China this year. WOW! Its become the most awaited marathon there.
To sum up, the ‘Bengaluru Midnight Marathon’ influences the involvement and joy of giving to all strata of society and seamlessly reaches the needy.

State Bank of India continued their support for the third year running and the SBI Bengaluru Midnight Marathon’s 9th edition was another resounding success on December 5, 2015. Alongwith 14,000 + participants, 44 Corporates, 33 Communities, runners from 23 countries participated.
Youth Icon and Women’s Badminton World No. 1, Ms. Saina Nehwal unveiled the theme – ‘Run for Happy Bengaluru’ at the Press Conference.
For the first time, in partnership with Codoon, China, over 75,000 ran the BMM in China, on the same day, through an online app.!
Shri Milkha Singh, Padma Sri, Brand Ambassador, personally flagged off the 5k IT City Fun Run and the Full Marathon at Midnight.

More than 14,000 participated at the 8th edition of the SBI Bengaluru Midnight Marathon 2014, on December 20, 2014. As usual it was an occasion where serious runners participated with the amateurs, all for a cause – ‘Run on Swachh Bengaluru’.
Shri Milkha Singh, Padma Sri, was the Brand Ambassador and had this to say – ‘You can achieve anything in life. It just depends on how desperate you are to achieve it.’
Ms. Mary Kom, Padma Bhushan, was the Guest of Honour and presided at the Press Conference.
The course was certified by the International body – AIMS and with this, BMM entered the Hall of Fame of Marathon Races across the world.

The seventh edition of the Capgemini Bengaluru Midnight Marathon (BMM) held on 13th 2013 at KTPO, Whitefield was once again an unforgettable event. We had over 10,000 participants, spread over nine events. To cheer them on, 4000 people landed up – and had their own share of fun too. All in all, we had 33 communities, 32 Corporate Relay & Women’s Relay Teams, 8 10K Teams, and of course, thousands of others who just came in for the run and some fun.
Chairman, Capgemini BMM 2013 Dipankar Khasnabish declared, “BMM embodies the spirit of the city like no other – young, vibrant, competitive yet collaborative. With Milkha Singhji as our Brand Ambassador this year, the excitement built up tremendously, as thousands geared up to immerse into this unique experience.”

The sixth edition of the Bengaluru Midnight Marathon (BMM) in 2012 witnessed a record turnout of over 9,000 participants from 18 states in India where 17 countries were represented. The first 10k Run saw over 3,500 runners. The Armed forces were there to keep pace with elite runners from all around the world.
Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor’s BMM has not only become a great fund-raising platform (35 Lakhs was raised for charity), but it also showcases Rotary in a new light. It sows that Rotary cares. That Rotary is capable of taking on big dreams, and above all, providing a great world-class experience for athletes, the community and local authorities.

The 4th Bengaluru Midnight Marathon was held on the 11th of Dec 2010. With over 7500 participants including professional runners, corporate professionals and NGOs, BMM emerged as a very important sporting event, particularly among the IT-ITES community as well as the international runners raising funds for the cause – ‘It’s fashionable to be Green’

With a myriad of entertainment and cultural events, over 6500 participants from all over world came together to make the event a grand success.

The 2nd Bengaluru Midnight Marathon was held on the 13th of Dec 2008. The canvas was far larger than the 1st Edition and eventful with a music competition, percussion performance, dance performances and energetic cultural performances from Karnataka all along the race route. The route was well lit, traffic free and decorated with different kinds of lights when over 5500 runners participated in the race.

On May 19, 2007 Bengaluru added yet another feather to its cap – Asia’s first Midnight Marathon. The event touched millions of Bengalureans through various race activities & pre marathon events. Over 4,000 people came out and participated and created history – “The 1st Bengaluru Midnight Marathon”.
